A Menstrual Health and Hygiene Intervention- Reducing Period Poverty
Did you know that 1 in 10 Nigerian girls miss school for about 48 days a year due to lack of access to sanitary pads?
Did you know that about 37 million Nigerian girls and women can not afford menstrual hygiene products?
and that more than 500 million women and girls experience period poverty globally ?
Many girls also start experiencing puberty, especially menstruation, without knowing or understanding these changes and are ill-equipped to manage them.
This project is aimed at reducing period poverty among school girls in rural communities, urban slums and underserved communities.
Blooming Flow is addressing period poverty by providing puberty education, menstrual hygiene materials and supplies, and building menstrual facilities in beneficiary schools and communities.
When you invest in Blooming Flow, you are investing in GIRLS. You are keeping more girls in
schools, addressing their health needs, addressing gender inequality, and securing a better future for them.
Proceeds from sales of the BLOOMING FLOW book will help us achieve the objectives of the Blooming Flow project.
